Sanji x Reader

"Somewhere, beyond the sea, somewhere waitin' for me,"

Translucent puffs of smoke swirled vertically through the air, rolling from pale lips like ocean waves breaking, coming from his lungs as he murmured words sweetly to himself, to an empty room, to ears they'll never reach. His mouth skyward, moving slowly as his head lay back, over the back of the wooden chair, blonde locks hanging from his face and into the air, looking akin to liquid gold as the afternoon sun reflected off it.

"My lover stands on golden sands, and watches the ships that go sailin'."

Ocean blue eyes hidden behind his lids, rimmed with thick, feathery, black lashes that tickled against his cheek as they rested against his creamy complexion, making small, soft shadows. The corners of his supple, thin lips slowly curled into a small, reminiscent smile as his nimble fingers removed the filter of the cancerous cigarette from his mouth, his arm falling back down to hang at his side, the thin, white and tan stick hanging dangerously loose from his fingers.

"Somewhere, beyond the sea, she's there, watchin' for me. If I could fly like birds on high, then straight to her arms... I'd go sailin'. "

It was a simple, regular day in the Baratie', the quiet noise of casual conversation and metal utensils sounded through the spacious blue tiled room, the windows thrown open to allow a gentle, calming breeze blow through, carrying warmth and the salty smell of the surrounding ocean that mingled with the delicious scents of many culinary dishes. It was when he walked out of the double-doors from the kitchen and into the dinning room, carrying a bottle of wine when he saw her sitting by herself at a small table beside an open window, her eyes closed and a comfortable smile on her painted lips as he rested her chin against the back of her hand, allowing the summer air to caress her skin peeking from her [color] dress and through her hair.

Glancing at the bottle in his hand to the customers waiting and the beautiful girl across the room, his curly brow rose up and he didn't even debate for a second as his black dress shoes didn't scuff against the floor as his long legs moved across the room with elegancy and ease. He barely caught eye of a couple standing up and taking hands to dance to the soft music that came over a record, filling the restaurant with a subtle swing tune as he neared her table, but she seemed oblivious to her surroundings, only focusing on the sun and breeze tickling her skin.

"It's far beyond the stars, it's near beyond the moon. I know, beyond a doubt, my heart will lead me there soon."

"A lovely wine for a lovely Lady," he said in a smooth voice, just loud enough that she would be able to hear over the soft noises and tune, a gentle smile playing on the Sous-chef's face as he held up the bottle of wine in a professional, offering manner.

But she stayed put, in the same position she had been since he saw her. He wouldn't have known if she was alive if he couldn't see the gentle fall and rise of her chest, or known whether she heard him or not if the smile on her lips wouldn't have grown subtly. Her eyes opened, revealing beautiful [color] orbs that seemed to sparkled as the afternoon sun shone off her iris's, but still, even as she re-acted to his words, she spared him not a single glance. "Does that line actually work?" she asked with a light, curious tone.

His blue eyes blinked at her, confusion seeping in as she wouldn't turn his way, but he chuckled around the cigarette between his milky lips, a few rolls of smoke following the harsh out-burst of breath. "How 'bout you tell me?" the sous-chef retorted a bit knowingly.

"We'll meet beyond the shores, we'll kiss just like before..."

It was then she began to move in his direction, turning around completely in her seat, but the smile never washed from her beautiful face at his smooth remark, it only grew into one that resembled a slight excitement. It was as though she were relieved she had met someone who she couldn't stump with her words. But if it wouldn't have been her words,
by God, it would have been her beautiful face. The blonde of course expected her to be pretty as every woman that came in here was, but if he was rude, the cancerous stick between his lips would have crashed to the ground as his jaw went slack. "Do you dance?" she asked softly, raising a perfectly trimmed brow.

He gave her a knowing look before swiftly setting down the bottle of open alcohol without spilling it, all the while grabbing her petit hand and pulling her up from the plush dinning chair, the sound of her heels licking against the tile as he spun her around, her bare back from the dress dipping down deliciously low hit his suit covered chest.Their fingers entwined as he held her hands up above her head and out a little ways, his neck craning down and his soft lips brushing the skin below her ear as their hips swayed back and forth to the soft music. "What're you doing here?" the blonde asked softly, a his expression still in a smile.

He let go of one hand, taking the other up high and spinning her around slowly before pulling her forward, their covered chests meeting and her small hand falling to his shoulder, his free hand falling her her waist as they swayed. "Sanji," she pouted softly, causing the sous-chef to chuckle at her little behavior. "I can't just come see you?"

He laughed, the sous-chef let out small laughter before spinning her around again, watching the [color] fabric fan out around her and follow her movements, the sun capturing everything about her and captivating himself before he pulled her back in by her fore-arms, pressing a soft kiss that tasted of wine, succulent cherries and sweet chocolate. He pulled back, relishing in the noise of disappointment that bubbled through her throat. "Of course you can," he replied with a playful wink, causing his girl to laugh.

Everytime he saw her, it was like the first time they ever met, and Sanji loved it. Her beauty inside and out never ceased to amaze him, and he'd never tire of it.

"Happy we'll be beyond the sea, and never again, I'll go sailin'."

Salty waves broke with roaring sounds as they crashed to the golden sand, spilling onto the ground and lapping at the microscopic grains and the bare feet that rested on top of the wet ground, becoming covered in the scratchy grains as the toes wriggled around, digging deeper into the cool ground. The tropical breeze blowing in the summer-time, lifting up the thin material of her sun-dress, the white color catching the rays of the sun as the flowing dress tried it's hardest to follow the wind.  The sound of a soft, feminine voice carried over the wind and the roaring of the water, her supple lips moving to form words to herself, the wind, and ears they would never reach.

"I know, beyond a doubt, his heart will lead him here soon."

Her head hung back, her face skyward allowing the sun to beat down on her best in all she is, allowing it caress over her exposed flesh. Her eyes slowly opened to a small squint, her [color] iris's peeking from her thick lashes framing her eyes. A gentle smile on her supple lips, her arms hanging limply at her side with her shoes dangling dangerously loose between her fingers.

"Happy we'll be beyond the sea, and never again, he'll go sailin'..."
